Testing process
1.Turn off the light source and collect the electronic noise of the spectral acquisition equipment.
2. Turn on the light source, set the exposure time to 100 ms, and collect the reference spectrum.
3. Place the test object, collect its spectral data, with the X-axis representing the spectrum.
The X-axis represents wavelength, and the Y-axis represents the transmittance corresponding to the wavelength.

A is absorbance, and T is transmittance, which is the ratio of the intensity of the transmitted light (I) to that of the incident light (I0).
K is the molar absorptivity. It is related to the nature of the absorbing substance and the wavelength λ of the incident light.
c represents the concentration of the absorbing substance, with the unit of mol/L, and b represents the thickness of the absorption layer, with the unit of cm. [b is also often replaced by L, with the same meaning]
Example of Quantitative Analysis

The quantitative analysis of oil in water can be conducted in accordance with the national standard method. By means of ultraviolet absorption, the concentration of oil in water can be measured.
As can be seen from the graph, the oil content shows a completely linear distribution at 260nm
